Telecom provider DNA has announced a new initiative to bolster its cybersecurity monitoring and response capabilities for Finnish customers, powered by Google Security Operations.
This development builds on the growing collaboration between DNA and Google Cloud, which was initially expanded in February 2025 to accelerate DNA’s transition to cloud services. The partnership allowed DNA to move its local workloads to Google Cloud, aligning with the company’s cloud-first strategy to deliver more reliable and efficient services to customers.
With the new initiative, DNA’s Security Operations Center (SOC), supported by Google Cloud, will enhance the company’s ability to respond to cyber threats while reducing overall security costs. Google Security Operations is designed to help businesses of all sizes detect, investigate, and address potential threats. The platform utilizes generative AI to provide frontline threat intelligence, helping companies defend against a range of cybersecurity challenges.
As part of the offering, DNA will create a custom security operations center for its corporate clients, managed by the company itself. Customers will access the SOC solution built on Google’s Security Operations platform, with data stored in Google’s EU-based data centers, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
Google Cloud representatives emphasized that the partnership with DNA leverages both companies’ expertise to offer scalable security solutions based on AI, automation, and advanced threat intelligence. By working together, DNA and Google Cloud aim to empower security teams to more effectively address both current and future cybersecurity threats.
Key capabilities of Google Security Operations include:
- Data Collection: Gathering data from multiple sources within a customer’s digital environment.
- Threat Detection: Analyzing the data combined with threat intelligence to identify potential risks and threats.
- Investigation: Examining threats using case management, search, collaboration, and context-aware analysis tools.
- Response: Utilizing automated action plans, case management, and AI-driven summaries to address security issues and recommend further actions.
