Cybersecurity firm Surfshark has expanded its Dedicated IP service, now offering static IP addresses in 20 locations around the world. This latest rollout adds seven new cities, helping users enjoy more stable VPN connections and smoother access to IP-sensitive platforms.
Dedicated IP assigns users a unique, unchanging IP address each time they connect through a VPN server. This reduces the need for repeated human verification prompts and provides more consistent access to services like online banking and remote servers.
“Unlike shared IPs, which can be used by hundreds of users and often trigger verification requests, a Dedicated IP creates a more seamless online experience,” said Justas Pukys, Senior Product Manager at Surfshark. “It’s a more reliable and secure way to connect, especially for platforms that require consistent identification.”
More Privacy, Fewer Disruptions
Available on Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS, Surfshark’s Dedicated IP supports major VPN protocols including WireGuard® for fast and secure connections. Because the IP address is unique to one user, traffic appears more consistent to websites, reducing the chances of being flagged for suspicious activity.
Dedicated IP also improves network speed and stability. Unlike shared servers, where multiple users compete for bandwidth, only one user generates traffic through a dedicated address. This setup is especially helpful for accessing remote work systems or managing services that require a fixed IP.
New Global Locations
Surfshark’s Dedicated IP service previously covered 13 locations, including major cities like London, Tokyo, and Sydney. The new expansion adds:
- United States: Denver, New York, Las Vegas
- Brazil: São Paulo
- Poland: Warsaw
- Singapore
- Turkey: Istanbul
With growing demand for Dedicated IP services in large urban areas, Surfshark says this is just the beginning of a wider expansion.
“We’re seeing increased interest in Dedicated IPs across key global markets,” added Pukys. “These new locations bring the service closer to more users, and we plan to continue growing the network in the near future.”
