CybExer and Cyber Defence Labs (CDLabs) have announced a new partnership to improve Japan’s cyber defenses. The partnership will focus on advanced cyber training and stronger response capabilities.
This agreement replaces their earlier reseller relationship with a broader, strategic collaboration. It comes at a time when Japan’s digital systems face increasing risks. Both government and private sector leaders are calling for better cyber readiness and closer cooperation.
Rising cyber threats
Japan’s need for stronger cyber protection has grown due to rising geopolitical tensions. Critical digital infrastructure has become a possible target. The situation has become more urgent following the passage of Japan’s Active Cyber Defence Bill. This law encourages public-private partnerships to improve national cybersecurity. To succeed, the policy requires modern training programs that can handle a wide range of threats.
CybExer and CDLabs have already worked together to customize technology platforms for Japan. This included creating a full Japanese-language interface. Their new partnership will expand these efforts, offering more training and exercise tools to meet Japan’s needs.
Advanced training capabilities
The joint platform will provide live-fire simulations, digital twin environments for scenario training, and capture-the-flag exercises. It will also focus on preparing teams to face new challenges such as AI-driven threats and artificial intelligence warfare. Both technical staff and decision-makers will benefit from the training.
CybExer’s technology is used in over 60 countries. The company has experience supporting organizations like NATO and the European Space Agency. This background will help apply international best practices to Japan’s cybersecurity programs.
